An interesting pattern in some concrete

I could not resist taking a photo of this concrete!!

I have been attempting to install my scanner this afternoon without much luck. It is so aggravating. I get so far and no farther.

More Snow

Snow fell again today;

A whistling North-Easter swept horizontally flying

Flakes onwards. A spray

Of powdery white whirled dying

Winter towards living Spring.

Budding life is nearer, everyday nearer,

Constantly stirring, constantly growing.

Our dreams and longings are with the Spring.

Drear mid-winter freezingly passes,

Sowing the seeds of vernal delight.

Yet more Snow!!!

It's another snowy day today, deep this morning but melting now. I think there may be more to come. The sky looks full of it.

Traffic

There is too much noise from the traffic;

It's constant roar batters the soul,

Breaks the spirit,

Makes unease.

There is no quiet,

No rest,

No serenity,

Just taut nerves,

Jangled.

The Clock

Today is now;

Yesterday has gone into history,

Can never be again.

And where is tomorrow

That unpredictable imminence?

Today is when we live,

When we laugh or cry,

Or waste fast-flowing hours

With blue melancholy.

Time's progression of todays

Make up weeks, months, years,

Lives.

Football in the park

Rather a distant view of Sunday football in the park. I like to see the playing fields in use. It is such a shame when parks are neglected.
